Walkers & Cyclists

Whether you’re a seasoned hiker walking the South Downs Way or occasional walker wanting something less strenuous there’s something to suit everyone – whatever your energy levels!

The 3 mile promenade will take you in one direction to Holywell, where you can either begin the long climb up to Beachy Head leading to miles of beautiful downland, or take the lower path by the sea. Walking in the other direction will take you to the marina at Sovereign Harbour.

Being keen walkers ourselves we are always willing to

  • offer suggestions for walks
  • discuss routes
  • help with public transport times/taxi arrangements

Cyclists

Welcome to park bikes, at their own risk, in our locked, gated back yard. Checkout http://www.eastbourne.gov.uk ‘ Cycling East Sussex’ for local routes.

We are also happy to:

  • dry boots, jackets etc
  • provide packed lunches (by arrangement)
  • fill flasks – free of charge
